What types of office visits are available?
Individual -
Working one-on-one can help define individual goals and barriers keeping you from your goals.
Family -
Meeting as a family with a life coach often increases the understanding of the "Problem" as each family member can share his/her interpretation of it. The family begins to "coach" each other as they overcome the "Problem" - TOGETHER.
Group -
Meeting with others who are fighting the same "Problem" increases one's insight into the it by listening and sharing experiences.
Informative Classes -
Knowledge is power and having power over problems can be helpful when coping with life’s challenges. Our informative classes offer specific knowledge and techniques to small groups helping to better understand certain issues.
Workshops and Seminars -
Educational lectures are focused on one particular issue or topic and are offered to large groups at one time. Ms. Blackledge is offering workshops, seminars, and speaking engagements in her specialty areas as listed on the "Specialties" page. Workshops can help your group or organization or conference attendees advance it's knowledge or create a broad understanding of a particular issue.
Support Groups -
It is comforting to hear that we are not alone in our struggle with a particular issue. Support groups offer an opportunity to listen to others who understand our situation. Groups also offer a chance to share our experience or ask questions. Support groups are not the same as group therapy. They are designed to foster helpful discussions between participants.
Ms. Blackledge, is specifically trained in the This is Not What I Expected postpartum support group curriculum, developed by the University of Washington Nursing Department and in postpartum support groups sponsored by Postpartum Support International and the PSI-Az Chapter of which Ms. Blackledge is a member. Postpartum support groups offer pregnant and new or repeat parents an opportunity to listen and share their experiences and challenges that a difficult pregnancy or birth, and emotional roller coaster that parenthood can be. Participants learn useful information and skills and develop a new understanding of the wide spectrum of symptoms stemming from Depression, Anxiety, and/or OCD occurring during pregnancy or postpartum.
